“Meggan was a fantastic TA. She had a hard semester with her own schooling, children, and even dealing with the CONSTANT technology issues in our classroom (which were NOT her fault). Through it all, she successfully ran the lab, was available to students when they needed her, and was overall just an awesome TA. I greatly admire her for balancing all that she did this semester as I can't even imagine how difficult it was. She knew the material she was teaching well, and I greatly enjoyed coming to lab each week. Meggan, you are awesome and you inspire me, thank you for an amazing semester.”

“The quizzes were applied, so a strong understanding of the material was necessary to do well on them. We also had a full project at the end of the semester, but Meggan sprinkled due dates for different parts of the project throughout the semester which I greatly appreciated. I have a lot of trouble working towards big, overarching projects so the small due dates helped keep me accountable and forced me to work on it throughout the semester. Overall, I always felt the grading in this course was fair and that, while Meggan expected us to learn and apply the material, she was very approachable, responded quickly to emails, and was always willing to help.”

Student Feedback

It is an important part of skill development and self improvement to take constructive criticism and feedback, both from students and colleagues, seriously and in stride. In effort to be the best instructor I can be, I welcome feedback and will continually incorporate suggestions into my course structure and teaching style as necessary. I have also pledged never to provide an answer to a question that I do not know. It is impossible to know everything, so if a student has a question I don't know the answer to, we will learn together.
